Why I Initially Choose a Big Green Egg
- Built to last – It is the barbeque that will likely sit on my patio until the day I croak. I hate ‘disposable’ consumer products. There was no way that 100’s or 1000’s of dollars was going to be spent on a new gas grill that would need to be replaced in 5, 10 or 15 years.
- Charcoal – Oh ya! You can never look back after cooking on charcoal.
- Barbeque plus Smoker – This baby has the best of both worlds.
- Flipping Cool – Seriously, look at this prize of a barbeque. It is completely unique and sets me apart from the average joe that thinks he can barbeque.
- Rave Reviews – Everything, and I mean everything, I read online about the Big Green Egg was positive. And I mean positive, people seemed to rave about and love the Big Green Egg.
Why the Big Green Egg is Better Than First Imagined
- Stay tuned to find out…..
“•Barbeque plus Smoker – This baby has the best of both worlds.” Don’t forget pizza oven and insanely hot wok!
I don’t have a wok! Hadn’t even thought of that. I need to put it on the list. But love my pizza stone!!
Hope its not a Pampered Chef one. They are known to warp and crack at the high temps the Egg can get to. Save that for your oven. As for woks, you will be in for a treat once you go down that path. I’ll be making fried rice and General Tsao’s Chicken on mine tonight.
No! All my cooking stones and plate holders come from BGE. So… that wok. Do you use a giant wok or more of the stove top size?
I use a 16″ wok that I got at the Ceramic Grill Store along with what is called the Spider which holds the wok in the Egg for you.
Nice. Will check it out. Am already imagining what i might make!
cheers! That thing is like the R2-D2 of barbeques!
Haha! love that! it does look like r2d2!
Bloody ‘ell that’s a monster.

Now that’s a grill. I’ve never seen anything quite like it. I would love to eat one of those steaks. Thanks so much for stopping by my blog.
